3 UK is launching its 3Turbo high-speed 3G HSDPA service on 3 September, giving customers ultra-fast mobile broadband on a selection of HSDPA-enabled mobile phone handsets. The company is also releasing a new USB modem for laptops.

3 is also introducing new data tarrifs – Mobile Broadband Light, which offers 1GB of data usage for £10 a month,; Mobile Broadband Plus allows 3GB of data usage for £15 a month; and Mobile Broadband Max, gives 7GB of data usage for £25 per month.

The deals offer unrestricted access to online services such as VoIP and all three are available for USB modem users.

Mobile Broadband Light and Mobile Broadband Plus will be available as add-on data packages for existing 3 handset subscribers when 3Turbo is launched. Mobile Broadband Max won’t be available until later this year.

3’s HSDPA-enabled 3G network will provide maximum data download speeds of up to 3.6Mbps.
